The Primary Driver
An estimated $9.1 trillion investment is required for the rehabilitation, upgrade, and hardening of the US infrastructure for it to reach a state of good repair. While significant advancements have been made recently; there has not been a priority on our interdependent infrastructure systems.
The tremendous advancements made in modern technology are the primary cause for the increased demand and inevitable failure of these aging systems. New classes of high-density load from data centers, artificial intelligence (AI) clusters, electrified industry and manufacturing, and synthetic fuel production are leading demands.
